The slow moving boats on the bayou headed out to the gulf in the background are contrasted with imagery associated with needs of fuel consumption. Part of the coastal land loss in Southern Louisiana has been influenced by oil drilling. The glass fragments represent a fractured environment (this piece was several years before the big 2010 BP spill by the way). The glass also manipulates the video projection, spreading it out through the glass tank and water, while maintaining more identifiable imagery on the bottom of the tank.

Is there a deeper meaning to it? @_@
